View and export consent records

Every choice is logged with its time, region and categories — without storing IP addresses. Filter it, and export it as CSV on Pro.

Updated

Each time a visitor accepts, rejects, saves their preferences or sends a Global Privacy Control signal, a consent record is saved. Records appear under Analytics.

What a record contains

  • The date and time, the visitor's country and region, and whether they were on mobile or desktop.
  • What they chose — accept all, reject all or a custom mix — and the setting for each category.
  • How they chose: the banner, the preferences panel, the reopen button or a GPC signal.
  • Their language, any Do not sell or share choice, and a fingerprint of the banner settings they were shown.
Note: Records don't include IP addresses or browser details, and aren't linked to your Shopify customers. They show that consent was collected without adding personal data of their own.

Filtering and export

Filter records by date, country, region, decision and device, or search for one. On Pro, Export downloads the filtered records as a CSV file, up to 100,000 rows at a time, and a device breakdown is added to the charts.

How long records are kept

Choose how long records are kept under Settings. Older records are deleted automatically each night.
